This classroom aims to raise awareness among architects, engineers, municipalities and other professionals, tools and methods that allow developing models of territorial and urban orientation with environmental criteria
Cities host 80% of the population of a region. It is in them where most of the economic activity and the regional development are developed. However, the needs of a city imply a great energy consumption, an accumulation of remarkable waste, and contribute largely to environmental pollution.
There is a wide range of concepts and technologies that can improve the energy efficiency of adificis as well as optimize the consumption of electricity and water, and reduce CO2 emissions and the environmental impact derived from its construction, management and deconstruction . If this is achieved, we will have cities that will make good use of resources, and more respectful with the environment that will allow us to reduce the emissions of CO2 and other greenhouse gases, and thus comply with the requirements of the Protocol of Kyoto.
