SERVICES VIA SMS, THE NEW INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR THE CITIZEN OF SOCIAL SECURITY THROUGH THE MOBILE PHONE

The Social Security has launched "Via SMS Services", an application through which citizens can access a series of information that until now was only available to those who have a digital certificate.

Among the documentation that this week can be consulted with the new system are the following essential references:
- Labor life report
- Limited work-life report
- Individual business situation report
- Report of working life at a specific date
- Duplicate membership number
- Identification and address data report
- Current situation report of the worker
- Accreditation of the own agricultural activity
- Report of contribution bases
- Report of bases and quotas received
- Situation of contribution / debt of workers

The new application is framed within the actions that the Social Security is developing in the field of electronic administration to adapt to the new technologies and to offer a better and more effective service to the citizen. The basic novelty of this tool, developed by the General Treasury of Security
Social is that both companies and workers can carry out daily tasks without having to travel to the offices of the organization, with the consequent saving of time.

How to access the application

When the user accesses the social security office https://sede.seg-social.gob.es/ , in the citizen service area, a tab identified as "Via SMS Services" leads him to The screen with the catalog of services available in the new application (those already cited labor life report, current situation of the worker or of quotation, among others).
Citizens only have to complete the requested identification number (DNI, NIF, NIE, etc.), Social Security, date of birth and mobile phone. After accepting the SMS sending, the system will send a password immediately that will allow access to the services from any computer and without a digital certificate.
