The Council of Associations of Industrial Technical Engineers of Catalonia wants to improve the professional situation of the Industrial Technical Engineers with the ETIOCUPACIÓ project.
The Council of Associations of Industrial Technical Engineers of Catalonia (CCETIC) is currently developing the ETIOCUPACIÓ project, sponsored by the Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC) and the European Social Fund.
The ETIKUPATION project aims to analyze the employment situation of industrial technical engineers in the Catalan socio-economic context, in order to propose and implement actions so that they can improve their situation in the professional field.
Given the current situation, we believe that this is a good time to analyze the situation in which Industrial Technical Engineering is and, in this way, to act to position our profession within the labor market as a versatile profession and of future.
The information that will allow us to do this analysis will be obtained through the sending of two surveys: * Survey aimed at industrial technical engineers * Survey aimed at potentially contracting companies of engineers
The results of these surveys will allow us to have a vision of the supply and demand of professionals and know different aspects of Industrial Technical Engineering: satisfaction levels in relation to the workplace, wage and unemployment levels, vision of Entrepreneurs in relation to the profession, among others.
These first steps will be used to identify possible shortcomings or aspects that can be improved within the group. From here, it will work with the Catalan industrial engineering engineers to see what actions are carried out to foster and improve their professional conditions, and how they can be improved.
The implementation of the ETIOCUPACIÓ project will be carried out during 2009. This month, the schools of industrial technical engineers of Catalonia will send surveys to their colleagues and companies that seek professionals through their stock exchanges of work
