NEWS IN THE REGISTRY OF ENERGY CERTIFICATES IN CATALONIA

The Catalan Energy Institute (ICAEN) has introduced two important updates to the registry of energy certificates in Catalonia in order to make them more useful and accessible to users. On the one hand, the format of the procedures has been changed to improve their usability; on the other hand, the visualization of the registry data in the certificate search engine and the expenditure report has been redesigned to make them more understandable.

Regarding the procedures, the registration form for the building certificate register has been changed from a PDF format to a new one in HTML format. This change, which had already been made in the amendment and exemption forms for the energy certification, provides a more user-friendly experience: it allows you to save drafts and retrieve them later, fill them out from different devices, is compatible with all browsers and facilitates the use and validation of signatures and authentication systems. The ICAEN has enabled a manual that details the new features of the procedure.

In turn, the search engine for energy certificates for buildings and the energy expenditure report have been updated to improve the energy information provided to citizens, making it more understandable and user-friendly. The new design of the search engine shows the certificates on a map, and also includes a photograph of the building from the cadastre, allows you to download the label and certification dossier, and gives you the possibility of viewing a table with all the procedures that a building has undergone.

Similarly, the search engine also displays graphs and a histogram that compare the building's energy and emissions ratings with the average for buildings of the same use and climate zone. Graphs on the distribution of energy losses through enclosures can also be consulted.

All the information from the registry of energy certificates in Catalonia can be consulted at the Observatory of the certification of energy efficiency of buildings, at the Observatory of the energy status of the multi-family residential building stock in Catalonia , or by accessing all the content in open data or hypermap format.
