Last Friday, February 27, the Technical Engineering Board of Catalonia (METGEC) organized the First Inter-College Networking Day, an initiative aimed at professionals from all Technical Engineering Schools in Catalonia with the aim of promoting contact, the exchange of experiences and the generation of new opportunities for collaboration between members of different specialties.
The meeting was born with the desire to create a stable space for interprofessional relationships that allows for the establishment of synergies, the expansion of the network of contacts and the promotion of shared projects in an environment of trust and proximity. The transversality inherent in technical engineering became one of the central axes of the day, favoring complementarity between disciplines.
With the aim of combining the professional aspect with a relaxed and participatory atmosphere, the format chosen was a calçotada, a proposal that facilitated natural interaction between attendees and contributed to generating enriching conversations beyond strictly formal spaces.
The day had a diverse participation of professionals from different areas of technical engineering, as well as the presence of representatives from different professional associations, including the dean and vice-dean of the Tarragona College of Industrial Technical Engineers, which reinforced the institutional and collaborative nature of the meeting.
METGEC highly values this first edition, which has highlighted the importance of strengthening links between colleges and promoting collaboration spaces that contribute to the professional development and joint positioning of Technical Engineering in Catalonia.
