THE COLLEGE OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNICAL ENGINEERS OF TARRAGONA PROMOTES THE CONNECTION BETWEEN YOUNG TALENT AND COMPANIES AT THE 1ST SPEED DATING TALENT

Yesterday, February 10, 2026, the first Speed Dating Talent aimed at students from engineering schools (ETSE and ETSEQ) was held at the Sescelades Campus of the Rovira i Virgili University, an initiative promoted by the REDESSA Engineering Cluster in collaboration with the URV to promote direct contact between students and technological and industrial companies in the region.

The event, which brought together more than 130 undergraduate, double degree, master's and doctorate students in engineering, offered an agile and dynamic format for participating companies to present their job opportunities, projects and professional profiles they are looking for, and for future engineers to directly expose their interests and skills.

Among the companies affiliated with the Engineering Cluster that participated is the Tarragona College of Industrial Technical Engineers, which played an active role in the initiative, highlighting professional opportunities and the relevance of incorporating qualified young talent into the local industrial sector.

The event was structured in two parts: an institutional introduction followed by short presentations by the companies and brief interviews between students and representatives of the sector. This system allowed each student to have different contacts in a short time, thus promoting networking and opportunities for internships, final degree or master's projects and even job recruitment initiatives.

Representatives of the organization and the University, such as the rector of the URV and the councilor for Economic Promotion, Innovation and Knowledge of the Reus City Council, highlighted the importance of this type of initiative to retain talent in the territory and bring students closer to the local productive fabric.

The participation of the Tarragona College of Industrial Technical Engineers is part of its commitment to promoting the employment of members and future professionals, strengthening the network between training and companies and joining actions that directly connect emerging talent with real opportunities for professional development in the engineering sector.
