THE COLLEGES OF INDUSTRIAL TECHNICAL ENGINEERS AND GRADUATES LAUNCH THE “WOMEN ENGINEER BAROMETER” TO KNOW THE REAL SITUATION OF FEMALE PROFESSIONALS IN THE SECTOR IN SPAIN.

On February 11, the Associations of Graduates and Industrial Technical Engineers throughout Spain will simultaneously launch the Women Engineer Barometer survey, a pioneering initiative aimed at analyzing, making visible and assessing the real situation of women in the field of technical engineering in our country.

This barometer was created with the aim of offering a current and rigorous x-ray of the presence, professional development, challenges and opportunities of female technical engineers , as well as identifying possible barriers and areas for improvement to advance towards effective equality in the profession , and at the same time being able to guide future policies and actions, especially in matters of vocations and equity.

The launch date of the Barometer has been set to coincide with the International Day of Women and Girls in Science , as an emblem of the impetus for scientific and technological vocations and the commitment to a more inclusive engineering, and the conclusions will be presented on June 23, coinciding with the International Day of Women in Engineering.
