On November 18, students of the Degree in Mechanical Engineering participated in a technical day organized by the College of Industrial Technical Engineers, within the framework of the Technical Office credit. The activity aimed to provide first-hand knowledge of the operation, services and opportunities that the college offers to future professionals in the sector.
The session was led by the secretary of the college, Núria Llosas, and the member Jordi Millan, who explained the role of the institution as a point of support, training and advice for industrial technical engineers. The students were able to learn about services such as visa and validation of projects, continuing education, legal and labor advice, and professional development support programs.
During the day, the Lluís Roca i Garcia Final Degree Project Award was also presented, a recognition that distinguishes the best final degree projects in the field of industrial technical engineering and that seeks to promote excellence and innovation in the academic environment.
In addition, students were informed of the possibility of taking the Digital Skills Course Applied to Industrial Technical Engineering, a training specially aimed at providing future engineers with the digital skills most in demand in the sector. It was highlighted that the course is 100% subsidized by Next Generation funds, and that in order to be certified it is necessary to graduate before June 30.
Another point that generated interest was the possibility of joining as a student, which offers advantages such as access to specialized training, networking activities, technical resources and professional development support services, offering a free year of future membership.
The day concluded with a question and answer session where students were able to answer questions about career options, membership and the real functions of the industrial technical engineer in the business world.
The College reiterated its commitment to maintaining an active link with universities to facilitate a more solid and informed incorporation into the world of work.
