The MOVES III program extends its validity until June 30

The electric mobility incentive program (MOVES III), funded with Next Generation European funds and managed in Catalonia by ICAEN, will extend its validity until June 30, 2025. Individuals, companies, entities and administrations interested in taking advantage of it will therefore have an additional six months to submit their applications, since the deadline for this program to support the electrification of mobility initially expired on December 31. In Catalonia, the MOVES III program has an allocation of 288 million euros, and work is already underway to expand it.

The vehicle acquisition line has a budget of 154 million euros, which has given rise to applications for the renewal of more than 60,000 vehicles, while the one intended for recharging infrastructure is endowed with 127 million euros, for which applications have been submitted for 22,000 new recharging points. More than 95,000 electric vehicles are already circulating on the Catalan road network. Currently, renewal with electrified vehicles only amounts to 10% of new registrations in Catalonia.

Along the same lines, the 15% deduction in Personal Income Tax (IRPF) for those who purchase an electric vehicle has also been extended until December 31 of this year.
