El Vendrell hosts the 28th Engineer's Day organized by the College of Industrial Technical Engineers of Tarragona

The institutional act has begun with the parliaments of the authorities: Mr. Miquel Darnés, president of the Council of Colleges of Industrial and Graduate Technical Engineers of Catalonia; Mr. Josep Pallarès, rector of the URV and Mr. José Carlos Pardo, president of the Mutualidad de Péritos e Ingenieros Técnicos Industriales (MUPITI). Then, different recognitions were handed out, such as the 5th "Innovation and Sustainability" Award that was awarded to the company FERVE, for its dedication to the manufacture of battery chargers and testers and other accessories at the service of the automotive battery In 1980 they achieved the first solar electric car manufactured in the State. This hundred-year-old family company, absolute benchmarks in the electrics of motor cars, received this distinction for its capacity for innovation and inventiveness.

The 31st edition of the Lluís Roca Garcia Graduation Project Award, which recognizes the work of the new generations of engineers, was won this year by Carles Fernández Petit with "Project of a chassis and swingarm of a motorcycle competition". The Engineer's Day has also served to honor the fifteen male and female engineers who, this year, have been members for 25 years; and to the engineers, Joan Esquerrá, Josep M. Parera and Jaime Herraiz, who are celebrating 50 years of membership at CETIT.

Once the institutional act with the parliament of the dean of CETIT, Mr. Joan Gabriel Talarn, the collegiates have shared a lunch at the Xaloquell restaurant in Coma-ruga.

The Engineer's Day, which is celebrated annually in a place in the demarcation, has included a visit to the Pau Casals Museum where attendees were able to learn about its history. The aim of this event is to bring together male and female members to share the experiences and experiences of professionals in the sector.
