The positive trend of renewable energies in Spain continues

Renewable energy projects approved by Industrial Technical Engineers increased by 280% in the period 2019-2023, while the overall number of works carried out in the industrial field remains stable, exceeding 230,000 in 2023.

• Graduates in Engineering from the industrial branch and Industrial Technical Engineers targeted more than 230,000 projects in 2023, which represents an increase of 22% in the period 2020-2023, and 4% compared to 2019 (before the pandemic ).

• More than 80% of the work carried out in the industrial field, in the national field, was carried out by these professionals.

The energy and renewables sector lead the projects approved.

Slight decline in industrial safety projects.

The industrial facilities sector continues to fall short of pre-pandemic values.

Slight decrease in activity licenses in the period 2019-2023 and remains stable compared to 2022.

The approved projects in the areas of the environment, cranes, public lighting, communications, management and end of work, and temporary installations once again exceeded the figures of 2019.

The slight decline in civil works, vehicles and lifting devices continues.
