Presentation of the platform and manifesto Group A

The current professional classification that establishes the Basic Statute of the Public Employee (*EBEP) in its article 76, is not consistent nor does it respect the new structure of university degrees implemented after the Bologna process, by perpetuating, with a different denomination (subgroup A1 and subgroup A2), the old differentiation between the university degrees of bachelor, architect and engineer and diploma, architect and technical engineer (group A and group B old).

All this, despite the fact that the implementation process of the new degrees took place in 2011, being the last academic year that offered the old degrees in 2010/2011. The problem lies in the fact that different groups, including ours, are included in subgroup A2, within the public classification, instead of being part of a single Group A, without subgroups, which which means a clear "crystal ceiling" to their professional development, as they cannot opt, for example, for positions of management and responsibility within the public sphere.

For this reason, and to try to end this unfair labor discrimination, which affects more than two million workers in our country, without the Public Administration having done anything so far, to put an end to this harmful situation, has established the "Platform Group A", which was officially presented at a press conference last Thursday, May 18.

The Platform is made up of representatives of more than a dozen colleges and unions, as you can see in the Manifesto-Grup Al fact that has been drawn up, and in which the signatory organizations demand that:

• A system should be sought that restores the situation we describe, flawed from the beginning, and in which many university graduates are immersed in the service of the public administration.

• Amend the art. 76 of the EBEP, in the sense of deleting the *subclassification of Group A, since its application is perpetuating a classification criterion that has generated a grievance between professions with the same academic level (Degree Title) and the degree of responsibility of the which of the functions to be exercised in anything can justify this differentiation, to which we add that the interpretation and application of the *subclassification criteria admits a wide margin of discretion, which fact and fact will certainly lead to new conflicts.

• Paralyze the processing of the Public Service Law Project of the State until the EBEP is modified and the considerations requested in this document are collected.
