With the objectives of improving the quality of the building and promoting innovation and sustainability.
On October 19, 2007, the Council of Ministers approved the new Basic Document DB-HR Protection against noise of the Technical Building Code (CTE) Royal Decree 314/2006 of March 17, 2006.
The noise pollution that citizens endure in the buildings they use is one of the main obstacles to being able to enjoy both decent housing and the right to an adequate environment. Noise is also a source of discomfort and illness for citizens, so Public Administrations must establish the appropriate mechanisms to facilitate the use of buildings and that this occurs free of noise pollution.
In article 14 of the CTE, the basic requirements for protection against noise are detailed.
This Royal Decree also includes modifications in several articles of RD 314/2006 and other Basic Documents that come into force from October 24, 2007, one day after publication in the BOE.
However, it is indicated that for 12 months it will be possible to apply the basic requirements developed in the DB-HR or the current Basic Building Standard "NBE CA-88 Acoustic conditions in buildings".
