The Department of Business and Knowledge opens an aid line of 43.8 million euros for the energy rehabilitation of buildings

Today the DOGC publishes the call for the line of aid, which can be applied for from tomorrow Friday through the ICAEN website. The aim of the program is to improve the energy efficiency of the housing stock of Catalonia and reduce its CO 2 emissions, which represent 10.6% of the total of Catalonia More than 80 percent of homes with energy rating in Catalonia they have obtained the letters E, F or F, the least efficient

The Department of Business and Knowledge, through the Catalan Energy Institute (ICAEN), has announced today a line of aid endowed with 43.8 million euros for the energy rehabilitation of buildings. This program aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions associated with the building stock of Catalonia, and continue to move forward in the transition to a new cleaner, sustainable and democratic energy model. The building is the third main area of final energy consumption in Catalonia, with approximately 25% of the total, and is responsible for 10.6% of CO 2 emissions.

The aid program for the energy rehabilitation of buildings is intended to encourage actions in existing buildings (whether housing, both single-family and collective residential buildings, or buildings of any other use) or on one or more homes. or premises of the same building, whether considered individually or on parts of a building. Excluded are actions carried out on newly built buildings, extensions or those intended to change the use of the building.

The actions that can benefit from this line of aid are those that involve an improvement in the energy efficiency of the thermal envelope (ie, that improve the thermal insulation of the building); those involving an increase in energy efficiency or the use of renewable energies in heating, air conditioning, ventilation and domestic hot water installations; or also those that suppose an improvement of the energetic efficiency of the installations of lighting. The application of the measures must achieve a reduction of the minimum final energy consumption of 10% with respect to the starting situation, and must also ensure that the energy rating of the building improves a letter on the scale of 'carbon dioxide emissions (except those already rated energy A). In the case of buildings that do not have a procedure for their energy rating, a minimum final energy saving of 20% must be achieved.
