The legal expert or forensic expert is a professional equipped with specialized and recognized knowledge, through their higher education, that provides information or opinion founded in the courts of justice on the litigious points that are the subject of their opinion.
There are two types of experts, those appointed judicially and those proposed by one or both parties (and then accepted by the judge or prosecutor), and both exercise the same influence in the trial.
