FINAL PROJECTS AWARD "Lluís Roca Garcia"
BASES - The works that opt for the prize will have to describe final year projects presented during the previous year.
- The prize will assess the technical and functional projects. The creativity, the originality and the economic viability of the project will be taken into account.
- The technical studies that in themselves do not conform to a project are excluded. Only projects that offer sustainable products, processes or services will be accepted, but not technical studies of some current processes or products.
- Projects limited to simple infrastructures, transformation centers or existing industrial facilities are also excluded, as opposed to the innovative technical projects that can be posed by new processes and industrial products.
- The application of technologies that demonstrate a greater saving and minimization of waste and energy, and the incorporation of materials and resources that take into account the economic, social and risk prevention aspects will be valued positively.
- The prize may be awarded to accredited students of Industrial Technical Engineering, graduates or students of the CETIT, who submit the projects to the schools where they study and have their residence in one of the 10 counties that it agglutinates the College of Industrial Technical Engineers of Tarragona (hereinafter CETIT).
- To compete for the prize, follow the instructions below:
- Make a summary of the project's descriptive memory with a maximum of two sheets (DIN A4), with type and body Universe 12 or Arial 12, with margins of 2.5 cm on all sides, without names or signature, only with the title of the project. This summary must be submitted to CETIT, with the registration form found on the CETIT website www.cetit.cat duly filled out, along with the project that is presented to the competition.
- The summary and the ticket will be accompanied by a certificate attesting to the student's enrollment and the project note, extended by the corresponding school.
- The deadline for submission of applications is according to the call for each year. Subsequently, the jury will notify the enrolled acceptance or not of the projects. The list of admitted will be displayed in the notice board of the CETIT.
- The projects must comply with the following instructions:
- They will be bundled or linked.
- They must be accompanied by calculations, specifications of materials, specifications, measurements, budgets, plans, graphs, photographs, etc. all adapted to DIN standards and identified by the title of the project.
- The use of brochures, catalogs, folders, press articles, ads, etc. will not be allowed.
- The following prizes are established for this contest:
- A commemorative medal, a diploma of recognition and 1,500 euros that will be delivered to the author / s / s / s of the winning project, and one year of free association
- The Jury reserves the right to grant up to two accesses, for projects that remain in second and third place, with a diploma of recognition and 500 euros for each one and one year of free association
- The Jury will consist of three members of the CETIT, who will be the dean, the president of the Free Exercise Committee and the secretary or the people who delegate, the director of the Industry issues in Tarragona of the Generalitat de Catalunya or the person delegating and the Rector of the Rovira i Virgili University or the person delegating. The secretary of the Board of Governors of the College will act as secretary, and will be the chair of the CETIT dean of a quality vote.
- The decisions of the jury will be adopted by an absolute majority of its members. The verdict of the jury will be unappealable. The prize can be declared deserted.
- This jury will announce the verdict of the competition and the awards in a public event that will be announced in a timely manner. The prizes will usually be given at the fraternity dinner and homage to the collegiate.
- The projects of the winners will remain in property of the CETIT.
- CETIT reserves the right to publish or exhibit in its headquarters the projects it deems appropriate.
- The organization of the Prize, the CETIT, is not responsible if afterwards the concession is checked for any coincidence attributable to plagiarism. The contestants may take the measures they deem appropriate in order to protect the copyright.
- All submitted and non-awarded projects may be withdrawn from the administration of the CETIT after the awarding of the awards and will have an economic aid in terms of expenses. If within a period of one month after this date have not been withdrawn, it will be understood that the contestants renounce and lose all rights.
- The CETIT will facilitate any clarification that may be needed regarding the interpretation of these bases.
- The participation in the prize implies the full acceptance of these bases.
