An outing to Tortosa was organized on the occasion of the XIV RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL that includes a guided tour of Medieval Tortosa.
This departure will take place on July 25 (Saturday ) and the program is as follows:
09.00 Departure from the Imperial Tarraco Board (opposite the University).
09.30 pm Departure from Reus, Paseo Mata (before the residents' residency).
11:00 p.m. Arrival at Tortosa.
11.15 h Guided tour of Medieval Tortosa.
13.15 a.m. Visit to the Exhibition of Photographs? THE BEAUTY OF THE LANDS OF THE EBRO? at the CETIT facilities, in the Terres de l'Ebre.
14.15 Lunch at the Restaurant? Parsley? Masia Racó de Mig Camí.
4:00 pm Free visit to the Renaissance Festival area.
6.30 pm Return with the corresponding stops.
INFORMATION: Tortosa of the 16th century became one of the most important cultural and artistic centers of the Renaissance Period of Catalonia, where some of the most important and singular elements that make up our cultural and heritage legacy were produced and produced. Characters such as: Cristòfor Despuig, Francesc Oliver de Botiller, abbot de Poblet, Juan Cardona (bishop of Tortosa), Adrià d 'Utrech, Baltasar Sorió and Juan Izquierdo (bishop of Tortosa)., enrichment of the city of Tortosa, at the political, religious, artistic and economic level during the 16th century. The Renaissance Festival focuses its attention on the historical recreation of the turn of the 16th century city with shows on the street and in unique Renaissance buildings.
The game, the fun, the history of the city, the gastronomy, the commerce, the clothing, the religiousness, the ceremonies, the tradition, the theater with representations of the most important historical events happened in Tortosa during this time: Visit of the Emperor Charles V in 1542 and his son Philip II a few years later.
During the holidays the tortosins houses returning the city to the Renaissance. The streets and facades with plants, rugs and carpets, torches and candles are added.
Citizens go out and engage in acts and ceremonies, they are the inhabitants of the Renaissance. Costumes of the time and shining the skirts with the colors that represent their neighborhoods.
In the Restaurant you will taste the following menu:
Dishes for chopping on the table: ham, cheese and croquettes.
Green Mongeta salad and Mi-Cuit d'Ànec.
Dishes to choose: Hake trunk with prawns and seasonal vegetables or entrecote of Lechal Gallega
Dessert of the Masia.
Drinks and coffees.
COLLEGED / NOT COLLECTIVE PRICE: € 45 / € 65 (EXCHANGE WITH AUTOCAR).
COLLEGED / NOT COLLEAGED PRICE: € 30 / € (PROPRIET WITH OWN VEHICLE ).
THE COMPANY OF THE COLLEGIATE WILL HAVE THE SAME PRICE THAT THE COLLEGE.
