THE GREAT INVENTIONS OF THE TBO

BECAUSE OF THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY

Original drawings by En Ramon Sabatés i Massanell (Linars del Vallès, 1915- Barcelona, 2003) , mechanical expert and collaborator of the TBO magazine since his collegiate's time. Illustrator of children's and comic books for foreign publishers, drew the most unimaginable inventions, based on the day to day life and created to make life easier. In his hand, inventions were made such as the utensils to turn the trout, the children's wash tunnel, the "rajamelonitis" to cut the melon in equal parts, and thus up to 1500 inventions

Among many graphic creations, he is responsible for more than a thousand cartoons published in the "The great inventions of the TBO" by Professor Frans de Copenhague. It seems that his condition as a mechanical expert was one of the main reasons why he was entrusted to this popular section of the magazine TBO that created the cartoon Nit. The inventions of Ramon Sabaté return us to a stage of science primitively pleasing, show us the most amiable face of the technique: we reheat ourselves
