| Introduction: |
Concrete pavements and slabs are subject to chemical, mechanical and physical attacks, in addition to those resulting from corrosion processes of the reinforcement. As a result of these attacks, cracks, breakage and mass losses can occur. A concrete pavement in poor condition in an industry is the cause of a multitude of problems that can compromise its efficient operation: lack of safety: risk of falls, contamination by chemical spills, accumulation of dirt and lack of hygiene, etc. In the case of the agri-food industry, it is also necessary that the floors meet very demanding minimum requirements in terms of cleaning and disinfection. When deciding the most suitable type of flooring for an industrial project, we find different types of solutions and products that make the choice complex: paints, multi-layers, self-leveling, mortars, water-based epoxy resins, 100% solids epoxy resins, polyurethane, polyurethane-cement, etc. In this technical conference we will analyze the basic criteria that will help us correctly define the most suitable type of continuous pavement for an industrial project. |
| Content: | 1. Introduction and basic concepts: ceramic floors vs continuous floors 2. Criteria for selecting a continuous pavement3 3. Types of continuous pavements
4. Types of continuous pavements by nature of product
