Addressed to:

Technicians, engineers and students in general who are interested in gaining knowledge about how corrosion works in metals and the means offered by the industry to protect them, especially cathodic protection systems.

This course is aimed in particular at technicians who are dedicated to project engineering, the assembly and commissioning of facilities, and to personnel who maintain and operate industrial processes with metal structures exposed to corrosion, whether buried, submerged or concrete structures in the atmosphere.

Necessary Prerequisites: No prior technical requirements required. Yes, with a basic level of general training.

Recommended Prerequisites: A lot of desire and time dedicated to studying the course syllabus are required.

Objectives:

The student will learn to:

  • Know the phenomena that cause corrosion.
  • Know the protection systems and use the most appropriate ones in each case.
  • Know, calculate and design a passive and active cathodic protection system.
  • Specify cathodic protection equipment.
  • Protect structures against external influences (power lines, railways and other cathodic protection).
  • Install, commission and maintain a cathodic protection system
NOTE: Registrations are carried out and managed by COGITI. You can also request registration on our website and we will then send you the direct link for final registration.
