[CONFERENCE] DECREE 209/2023 CATALONIA ACCESSIBILITY CODE. Hybrid modality

To publicize the Code that came into force in the first quarter of 2024 and explain what it regulates, the objectives, the purpose of the standard, the new features it contains. And the importance it represents for all citizens and the transformation of Catalonia into a benchmark country in accessibility. It is an opportunity for everyone that must be kept in mind at all times and planned from very early on.

Day 1:

• Introduction to accessibility and general regulatory framework (Law 13/2014 on accessibility, Technical Building Code SUA 9, TAAC criteria)
• Operation of the decree and its new features
• Structure of Decree 209/2023 and areas of application
  • Chapter 1: General provisions
  • Chapter 3: Building accessibility ·Requirements in newly constructed buildings
• Requirements in existing buildings subject to intervention (application to works and activities)
• Conditions for existing buildings and deadlines for achieving them

Day 2:

·Review of Chapter 3·Appendix 3a: Classification of uses and activities in public buildings ·Appendix 3b: Conditions that must be met by newly constructed buildings ·Appendix 3c: Building accessibility standards ·Appendix 3e: Conditions that must be met by existing buildings in general and deadlines for achieving them ·Appendix 3f: Building accessibility standards for existing buildings ·Practical exercises

Depending on the registrations made, the training action will be viable or not, for this reason it is important that you notify cancellations.

Images and recording of the course: we inform you that, in compliance with the provisions of the RGPD, the current legal regulations on data protection and Law 1/1982 on civil protection, the right to honor, personal and family privacy and one's own image, photographs will be taken during the course and in certain cases they will be recorded and/or broadcast live. In no case will the name of the Interested Party be published. The image is used legitimately by the legitimate interest of the College to promote these courses and their possible subsequent viewing by attendees.

Due to the fact of attending, these images will be kept and while the course is posted on the platform. Once the deadline for later viewing has passed, it will no longer be posted on the platform and the images will be deleted with appropriate security measures.
